Sports Scholars visit Bath University
Our Sports Scholars and Lower Sixth A level pupils enjoyed a day out at Bath University where they took part in a Q&A with Amelia Collman currently in the World Class Talent Programme for the Skeleton Bob Sleigh. Amelia talked about her journey to be part of the Team GB Development squad and showed us amazing footage of her reaching up to 80mph head first down the icey runs! The girls were then taken on a tour of the amazing Sports Village, including facilities such as the 50m pool, Indoor tennis courts, Shooting range where GB Pentathlon practice, physiology lab, athletics facilities, state of the art fitness centre and the Team Bath Hall of Fame. The girls took part in a variety of field tests and a Strength and Conditioning session lead by placement pupils who hosted us throughout our trip. An informative day was had by all.
