Godolphin Book Club at the Salisbury Schools' Book Awards
Godolphin Book Club attended the Salisbury Schools’ Book Awards 2019 at Bishop Wordsworth’s School today. Philip Reeve, whose Mortal Engines book series was recently made into a film, joined the pupils to talk about writing novels set in the wacky worlds of his imagination, and especially Rail Head which was on the SSBA shortlist. Six schools across Salisbury had read six books and Rail Head was Godolphin Book Club’s overall favourite with STAGS by MA Bennett as a runner up, but after a drumroll of feet STAGS was announced this year’s SSBA winner.
