Co-education

We are thrilled to be entering an exciting new chapter at Godolphin with our move to co-education in September 2025.

Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make, and we are here to guide and support you every step of the way. At Godolphin, we believe this journey is about finding a place where your child will truly thrive.

We warmly invite you to visit us, experience the strength of our community, and discover the breadth of opportunities we offer.

Join us for a Snapshot Morning in the New Year or contact our Director of Admissions, Corinna Florence to arrange a one-to-one meeting with our Head, Jenny Price.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Godolphin is moving to co-education in response to a growing demand from families seeking a modern, inclusive educational experience. Increasingly, parents value the benefits of boys and girls learning and growing together in an environment that reflects the world beyond school. This model not only prepares pupils for real-world experiences but also fosters collaboration, mutual respect, and diverse perspectives.

As a school committed to providing the best opportunities for all our pupils, we recognise that co-education supports the development of essential life skills such as teamwork, communication and empathy. By embracing co-education, Godolphin is building on its proud heritage while evolving to meet the needs of today’s families, ensuring that we remain a forward-thinking, inclusive, and dynamic community.

Initially, we anticipate a higher enrolment of girls than boys. However, as we move towards full co-education, we expect the gender balance to gradually level out over time.

Our approach to sport will involve a combination of both co-ed and single-sex sports for all pupils. Our goal is to offer a comprehensive sports programme that accommodates the preferences and talents of all our pupils.

Our commitment to maintaining our high standards of excellent pastoral care will remain unchanged. We are fully aware of the additional challenges that pastoral care in a co-educational setting will present, and these will be addressed sensitively.

Godolphin will continue to offer day, flexi, weekly and full boarding, across our boarding houses - 7-19 years. Separate designated boarding accommodation will be offered for boys and girls, to ensure their wellbeing and privacy.

Means tested bursaries will continue to be available for pupils on a case-by-case basis.
